When I picture camping in Las Vegas I picture a blue sky with the warm sun beating down on our white pail skin and no snow in site. We'll I guess I can dream can't I????? We'll we left Wednesday morning with our little bud in his car seat in the back sit of our truck pulling our fifthwheel trailer, all packed for
a week of pure enjoyment. When we pulled out of the driveway it looked like it was going to come in and snow any moment, it didn't take to long and we ran into it outside of Stockton. The further south we went the worse it got, we were probably 15 miles from Cove Fort when the wind really started blowing hard...hard enough that the blocked wood in the back of the truck was blowing out....Scott didn't dare pull over he had a death grip on the steering wheel that probably is permanent to this day...anyways...we finally found an area that we could pull over and arranged the wood differently. By the time we got to Beaver we had less than 1/4 of a tank of gas left( we've always gassed up in Cedar City before) we refilled, let Landon play for a bit, got us something to eat and regroup ourselves to plunge ahead. The wind was blowing so hard that it was blowing the truck and trailer across the road, we finally ran out of the storm when we hit Hurricane. We arrived in Las Vegas in one piece, no harm thankfully, just alittle fraziled with a truck and trailer that looked like a dirty snowpacked popcycle but was looking forward to a great fun packed week at one of our favorite events of the year.
